Kevin Smith, C.HT., is a certified Mind-Body Practitioner, specializing in the treatment of Cancer and other life-threatening illness.
He completed his postgraduate studies between 1985 and 1990, studying in Arkansas, Texas, California and Florida, being certified in Hypnotherapy and Behavioural Oncology, (Psychosocial and Therapeutic Oncology).
He was one of the first Canadians to train with Stephanie Simonton, who pioneered the use of visualization and guided imagery in the treatment of cancer.
Kevin furthered his advanced clinical training at Commonweal Cancer Facility in Bolinas, California, under the direction of Rachel Naomi Remen.
These advanced clinical studies also included the teachings of Joan Borysenko, Deepak Chopra and Jacqueline Small.
At Damar Institute, we have developed and perfected programmes in cancer intervention designed for patients, either with a first diagnosis, or with recurrence of cancer.
